In this article you will learn How to Easily Link MTN, Airtel, Glo And 9mobile SIM With NIN to avoid your line from being blocked or disconnected.

Just recently the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC directed all network operators to block all SIM cards that are not registered with the National Identity Numbers, NIN.

Network operators like MTN, Airtel Glo And 9mobile have made the linking process easy and just a few clicks away. But before we begin let’s understand a few things about the NIN.

What is NIN?

The NIN which is known as the National Identity Numbers is a set of eleven digits assigned to an individual, by The National Identity Management Commission, NIMC during the enrollment exercise.

There are different processes involved in the enrollment exercise like capture of the ten (10) fingerprints, head-to-shoulder facial picture, and digital signature.

How can I retrieve my NIN with USSD?

Some persons may have enrolled for the NIN, but forgot their PIN or lost their slip. You can recover your NIN by just dialling *346# on the SIM card which is enrolled with the National Identity Management Centre (NIMC).
Note that the service costs N20 on each request.
Many network service providers have made it possible for users to link their phone numbers with NIN either online or offline through text messages or USSD.
To link your Glo with NIN just text REG to 746.
To link your MTN number with NIN, simply dial *785# and follow the steps to get it done in few seconds.
The second step is to visit the MTN website here and get it done online.
Simply dial *121*1# on your Airtel phone number.
There are two ways of linking your 9mobile line with NIN. The first method is to visit the 9mobile portal here. The second method is with a USSD option, dial *200*8# on your line and follow the steps.
You can also link your SIM by visiting the nearest office of your network service provider (MTN, Airtel Glo And 9mobile).
